Thanks to technological advancements, especially in the emergnce of artificial intelligence (AI), ChatGPT has become one of the most important instruments of the twenty-first century in various fields, particularly the education sector in many nations. The study aims to examnine how students perceive using ChatGPT as a language learning aid. 115 students from different deparments at Hanoi University of Mining and Geology were selected as respondents for this research paper which uses a quantitative research design. A descriptive analysis was conducted to collect data obtained. The research findings show that the majority of students believe that using ChatGPT enhances their writing skills in particular and that using ChatGPT makes studying English more enjoyable and engaging.
