The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into English language teaching has ushered in a transformative era for the TESOL community. As classrooms become more digitally enabled and learner diversity grows, the demand for innovative, data-driven teaching solutions is greater than ever. This workshop aims to bridge the gap between emerging AI technologies and TESOL practices by showcasing how educators can adopt and adapt these tools for meaningful, personalized, and scalable learning experiences.
AI technologies—ranging from virtual tutors to adaptive learning platforms—are not just futuristic concepts but are already reshaping language classrooms. This hands-on session will highlight accessible tools, showcase real-life classroom applications, and empower educators to implement AI-driven approaches responsibly and effectively.
Workshop Objectives
Participants will:
• Explore AI-powered tools designed to support English language learning.
• Understand the role of virtual assistants in TESOL.
• Experience how adaptive learning systems personalize instruction to learner needs.
• Gain practical skills to evaluate, implement, and integrate AI tools in their classrooms.
