The article summarizes the experience of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University in integrating digital and international components into teacher training. It presents the design technology of digital trainers and simulators for the professional activities of teachers (including those working with students with disabilities), as well as video and animated lessons for teaching the Russian language, the national languages of the peoples of Russia, and foreign languages. The article describes the outcomes of international cooperation and activities in the field of teaching Russian as a foreign language, including the organization of professional development courses for foreign educators delivered in Algeria, Tunisia, and Turkmenistan. The replicability of the proposed model for countries transitioning from the “language as a foreign” model to the “language as a second” model is substantiated.
